1. How to Install Power BI on Desktop

To install Power BI Desktop, visit the Microsoft Power BI website, navigate to the “Download” section, and click “Download free”. Follow the installation prompts to complete the setup on your computer. Once installed, you can launch Power BI Desktop from your applications menu.

2. How to Import an Excel Sheet into Power BI

To import an Excel sheet into Power BI Desktop, open Power BI Desktop and click on “Home” in the ribbon. Select “Excel” from the “Get Data” dropdown menu. Browse to the location of your Excel file, select it, and click “Open”. Choose the tables or ranges you want to import and click “Load”.

3. How to Import a Google Sheet into Power BI

To import a Google Sheet into Power BI Desktop, you can use the web connector. First, make your Google Sheet public or obtain a shareable link. In Power BI Desktop, go to “Home” > “Get Data” > “Web”. Paste the URL of your Google Sheet, modify it to end with "/gviz/tq?tqx=out:csv" if necessary, and click “OK” to load the data.
